TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is an open European ETSI standard for digital professional trunked radio. Designed for missions where a comms failure means real casualties: police, fire & rescue, EMS, metro, airports, military, power, oil & gas. TETRA has no direct civil-band analogues.
Group call set-up time is under 300 ms. Faster than any cellular, faster than analogue conventional. Mission-critical for 112-grade services.
Air interface: TEA1, TEA2, TEA3 (Class 1 / 2 / 3). Above that: End-to-End AES128 or AES256 on voice, packet data and SDS. OTAK (over-the-air keying) is supported.
Direct Mode Operation works without base stations. A group of radios talks directly — critical when the network is down or the site is out of coverage.
Up to 2,048 TMO talkgroups and 1,024 DMO. Up to 2,047 dynamic DGNA groups. A full regional EMS fleet fits into a single TETRA network.
When the red emergency button is pressed, dispatch receives the radio's position with <5 m accuracy. The −159 dBm GPS sensitivity holds a fix even in dense urban canyons.
TETRA Enhanced Data Service — packet data up to 80 kbit/s in 25/50 kHz channels. 20× faster than legacy TETRA packet data — enough for basic telemetry and SCADA.
On emergency, a configurable timer opens the microphone automatically — dispatch hears what's happening on the ground without PTT.
The radio detects tilt and lack of motion and automatically alerts dispatch. Baseline lone-worker protection with no extra hardware.
Short Data Service up to 1,000 chars, status messages (400 aliases), Call Out — mandatory acknowledge for critical dispatch messages.

The only difference is the camera: MTP6750 has a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash for digital evidence, MTP6550 has no camera. We have the MTP6550 in stock — no-camera version — ideal for sites where cameras are prohibited.

Yes, Motorola Solutions has temporarily suspended direct shipments to Russia. But the equipment we sell is official, factory-new, with original firmware. Our company provides a 12-month warranty on the set. We were an official Silver Motorola dealer for 16 years: we still have service expertise, CPS Plus programmers, KVL encryption loaders, and a large spare-parts stock. The equipment is historically easy to service.

Both models support the full TETRA encryption stack. At the air interface — TEA1, TEA2 and TEA3 algorithms (Air Interface Encryption), Security Classes: Class 1 (Clear), Class 2 (SCK), Class 3 (GCK). End-to-End — Hardware or SIM-based AES128/AES256 with OTAK (Over-The-Air Keying). Encryption covers voice, packet data (PD) and SDS short messages.
Yes. MTM5200 ships in several installation formats: Dash (vehicle dashboard), Desk (dispatcher's desk with stereo tray), Remote Head (control panel extended up to 10 m from the transceiver), Motorcycle (IP67 panel for bikes and vessels), Databox (no head panel — for data applications). Our set is a standard Dash installation with a palm mic.
