Mobile station: how different from handheld
The mobile TETRA station is placed in the car and is powered by the on-board network. Power here is higher than that of handheld, and the antenna is put on the roof - together this gives a noticeably greater range and stability of communication on the route.
Installation is performed according to automotive mounting standards - the station stands in a regular place of the tape recorder or in a separate console. This is important for service transport, where equipment should be secured rather than lying on the seat.
The parameters of this model
The range of 380-430 MHz is the working area of most departmental TETRA networks. Power class 3 W against 1.8 W at handheld stations gives a margin where the machine goes to the edge of the coverage area.
Data transmission up to 80 kbit / s allows you to send from the board not only speech: coordinates, statuses, short messages to the dispatcher. The connector for connecting to the computer is needed for setting up and for operating the dispatching application.
