The proposed MTP6550 set includes a 1650 mAh battery. This capacity helps to describe the position, but does not answer the question of whether it will be enough for your shift. For purchases, it is more useful to link the operating mode, battery condition and charging order with the inspection at the facility.
Why battery capacity alone is not enough
In the official documentation of the MTP6000, a 1650 mAh battery is present as one of the options. The operating time in the tables is related to the work cycle and power class. Such values cannot be converted into a guaranteed number of hours for any station, battery or shift.
At the facility, it is important how long the employee transmits, receives messages and is waiting. Also record the functions used, working conditions and battery status. Therefore, the application for the MTP6550 is best accompanied by a description of the shift: who uses the terminal, how often he talks, and when the kit can be returned to charge.
Collect data from one typical shift
Select a workplace that presents the desired scenario. Compare the kit under normal conditions and with the agreed configuration. Specify the full terminal and battery markings so that the results do not refer to the indefinite "MTP6550 with some kind of battery." Before checking, use the order of charging and handling from the instructions of the corresponding accessories.

The MTP6550 card below leads to the most wearable terminal. The MTM5200 is listed separately for the vehicle-mounted portion of the fleet: it is not a battery replacement or charger for the MTP6550. If the application includes both employees and transport, the needs can be discussed together, saving different sets and power supply.

At the terminal in Ust-Luga, part of the MTP6550 remains at permanent posts, and part returns with an away team at other times. The need for spare batteries is related to this issuing and returning procedure.
